Quick fix

On macOS 12.2, cc-switch 3.16.x goes blank when adding a provider; upgrade to macOS 12.7.6 or use cc-switch 4.0+.

This affects the old UI in cc-switch 3.16.x: on macOS 12.2.x (Intel and M1), opening Add Provider and choosing most provider presets makes all app page elements disappear, so providers cannot be added. The maintainer confirmed this is a 3.16.x old-UI issue; 4.0 rewrote the whole UI and changed adding a provider to select a preset first, then fill in the form, so the old page no longer exists. Some users also reported that an older macOS version was the trigger; upgrading the system from 12.2 to 12.7.6 restored normal behavior.

Fix

  1. Upgrade macOS from 12.2.x to 12.7.6 (some users reported Add Provider worked normally again afterward).

  2. Or upgrade cc-switch to 4.0 or later; the new version rewrote the Add Provider UI and the old blank page no longer exists. Download: https://github.com/farion1231/cc-switch/releases/latest

  3. After upgrading, reopen cc-switch and try adding a provider again; if it still goes blank on macOS 12.2, reply with the macOS version, cc-switch version, and reproduction steps.

Does macOS 12.2.1 on Intel have the same problem?
Yes. Users reproduced the issue where all page elements disappear when adding a provider on macOS 12.2.1 Intel and on macOS 12.2 with M1.
Does every macOS 12.2 version have this problem?
From the issue comments, reports are concentrated on macOS 12.2.x; one user returned to normal after upgrading the system to 12.7.6, so upgrading the system version is a verified effective fix.
3.16.1 and 3.16.2 both cannot add providers normally; is switching versions useful?
Switching within 3.16.x does not help (users tried both 3.16.1 and 3.16.2 and still had the problem). Upgrade macOS, or upgrade directly to 4.0 or later with the rewritten UI.
