CCS cannot detect Codex, which is already installed and working normally. How should I handle this?

Cause

The report used CC Switch v3.14.1. Codex worked normally, but CC Switch did not detect it. The maintainer said version 4.0 added the “Applications” page and rewrote Codex detection; the issue did not specify the exact reason older versions failed to detect it.

Fix

  1. Upgrade to the latest version and check Codex’s version, installation location, and installation source on the “Applications” page. The download URL for the new version is https://github.com/farion1231/cc-switch/releases/latest.

  2. If it still shows as not installed, provide the CC Switch version, Codex installation method and path, and the output of the terminal commands which codex and codex --version to help locate the issue.
