Prompt files are never rebuilt: cc-switch database restoration issue

Quick fix

Prompt, live configuration, and caches are not fully rebuilt after database restoration. No verifiable fix is available; follow the merged discussion.

Error output
Prompt files are never rebuilt

The report describes database state not fully syncing to live files and process state after importing a SQL backup, restoring a local .db backup, or downloading a cloud snapshot. Prompt files are not rebuilt, and .db restoration does not run post-import configuration projection. Provider configuration projection stops at the first application error, local pricing overrides may be temporarily overwritten, and in-process usage caches and log filtering state remain stale. The report states that helper functions create a new AppState, so they do not operate on the running ProxyService or UsageCache.

The report also states that restoration cannot call enable_prompt because it reads old live files and may write stale content back into the newly imported database. The reported issue affects cc-switch 3.19.1 (main commit 59a2bd10) across all platforms and multiple managed applications. The issue was closed because it was consolidated into another discussion at the maintainer's request, with two sets of draft PRs still under review. Closure does not mean the fix is complete; the original post provides no verifiable fix.

  1. The original post provides no verifiable fix. Do not treat issue closure or the existence of draft PRs as evidence that it is fixed.

  2. Follow the merged discussion linked in the source issue's comments and wait for a fix and verification results. Specifically, confirm that Prompt rebuilding, configuration synchronization for each application, local pricing overrides, and running usage caches and log filtering state have all been restored.
