Codex database routing metadata lost during backfill
Quick fix
Upgrade to cc-switch v4.0.0; backfill was removed, and switching now replaces only key fields.
Symptom
Section titled “Symptom”Backfill can prefer the live snapshot and drop metadata that is absent from live config, even though the absence is expected because live config.toml has no schema for that metadata.Codex provider metadata such as `codexRouting` is stored only in the CC Switch database’s `settings_config` and cannot be restored from live `~/.codex/config.toml` or `auth.json` snapshots. If switching backfill treats the live snapshot as authoritative for the entire provider settings, it may delete these database-only fields; `modelCatalog` is another example mentioned in the issue.
The maintainer explained that v4.0.0 removed backfill. Codex switching now replaces only key fields and no longer writes live files back to the provider row, so database metadata is not lost during switching.
Upgrade to cc-switch v4.0.0 or a later version. The maintainer said backfill was removed in that version; if the issue still occurs after upgrading, add details and reopen the issue.
