After saving, the Codex config file still shows flash
Quick fix
Upgrade to v3.17.0 or later and explicitly select deepseek-v4-pro in the “Default model” field.
Symptom
Section titled “Symptom”修改 model = "deepseek-v4-pro" 下次打开cc-switch 配置 还是 flashAfter changing model = "deepseek-v4-pro", reopening cc-switch still shows flash in the configuration.
In cc-switch 3.16.3, when the Codex model mapping table is not empty, saving provider settings overwrites the top-level `model` in config.toml with the first model in that table. The DeepSeek preset mapping table places `deepseek-v4-flash` first, so `deepseek-v4-pro` is changed back to flash after saving.
The maintainer confirmed this was fixed in v3.17.0: an editable “Default model” field was added. The first model in the mapping table is used only when that field is empty.
Upgrade cc-switch to v3.17.0 or later.
In the Codex provider configuration, explicitly enter or select deepseek-v4-pro as the “Default model”, then save.
If the issue still occurs after upgrading, reopen the original issue as the maintainer suggested and include the latest config.toml content for further investigation.
