Import Stuck for About 30 Minutes - CC Switch
Quick fix
Upgrade to CC Switch 4.0.13 and retry the same SQL. If it still hangs, record the file size, wait time, and logs, then report back.
Symptom
Section titled “Symptom”B上面选中文件导入,一直导入中,等待半小时左右,强制退出重启,再打开,数据没有导入成功On computer B, select the file to import. It remains in the importing state for about 30 minutes. After forcing the application to quit and restarting it, the data has not been imported successfully.
The issue occurred on two macOS computers both running CC Switch 3.13.0: computer A exported SQL, while computer B remained in the importing state for a long time after starting the import. After a forced exit, the data was not restored. The maintainer explained that the old implementation executed INSERT statements row by row and did not combine multi-table restoration into a single transaction. With large datasets, each row incurred the overhead of creating, writing, and deleting log files, which could make imports take a long time.
v3.19.2 improved performance through batch writes and single-transaction restoration. The later merged PR #6122 was also related. The maintainer ultimately recommended retesting with CC Switch 4.0.13. However, the original report provided neither conclusive diagnostic evidence nor retest results, so it cannot be confirmed that the issue was fully fixed. The comment suggesting that too many skills caused the SQL file to grow to tens of megabytes was only unverified speculation.
Upgrade CC Switch on computer B to 4.0.13.
On computer B, reimport the same SQL file that previously hung and check whether the import completes.
If the import still hangs, record the exported file size, approximate hang duration, current version, and relevant logs, then reopen the issue for further investigation by the maintainer.
