404 Not Found: /v1/live, Codex Desktop Voice

Quick fix

Disable the Codex proxy takeover in CC Switch, restore the official Codex configuration, and fully restart the desktop app.

Symptom

Cause

With Codex proxy takeover enabled in CC Switch 3.20.0, Codex Desktop derives the Voice/Live address from the rewritten base_url and sends a request to the local proxy at /v1/live. The proxy has no handler or fallback for this route, so it returns an empty HTTP 404; ordinary /v1/responses text requests can still work. This is not a microphone permission issue.

The maintainer said this issue is the same as #5914 and that many related issues disappeared after the configuration switching redesign in v4.0; the comments did not confirm that this issue was fixed in v4.0.

Fix

  1. In CC Switch, disable Codex proxy takeover, restore the official Codex configuration, then fully restart the Codex desktop app. The issue report confirms that Voice works again after these steps.
