It appears that the Bash tool is continuously being searched for but cannot be loaded or invoked properly.

Cause

Section titled “Cause”

The reporter connected Claude Code to GLM in CC Switch 3.15.0 and forwarded requests through a proxy address. Bash, Read, Edit, and Grep were unavailable, while MCP tools and ToolSearch still worked. The reporter believed the proxy chain might not fully support Anthropic’s tool calling protocol; Bash worked when GLM was configured directly in Claude Code in the same environment.

The issue was closed under the inactivity policy after no further updates, not because a fix was confirmed. The maintainer only stated that CC Switch 4.0 included multiple refactors and fixes and recommended retesting on 4.0.13; the corpus contains no user confirmation that upgrading resolved the issue. Another user reported the same behavior on mac.

Fix

  1. Bypass CC Switch and configure GLM directly in Claude Code; the original reporter confirmed that Bash worked with this configuration.

  2. If you still need to connect GLM through CC Switch, upgrade to CC Switch 4.0.13 and retest. The maintainer only recommended retesting this version; the corpus does not confirm that it fixes the issue.

  3. If the issue still occurs on 4.0.13, provide the CC Switch version, operating system, reproduction steps, and relevant logs, then reopen the issue.
