Codex settings become the Claude values: Codex settings overwritten after restart
Quick fix
Codex failover settings are overwritten by Claude settings after a restart. No verified fix is available in the original report; follow the source issue.
Symptom
Section titled “Symptom”Codex settings become the Claude values. In my case Max Retries changed from 0 to 6.The report states that on macOS with CC Switch v3.20.2, saving Codex local proxy failover settings, then quitting and restarting CC Switch normally, replaces the Codex settings with Claude values. Max Retries changes from 0 to 6. Identical settings for both applications mask the issue.
The reporter suspects that stop_with_restore_keep_state() reads the Claude row when retrieving legacy global proxy settings through get_proxy_config(), and that update_proxy_config() lacks a WHERE app_type condition when updating shared fields, writing Claude values to all application rows. This is the reporter's hypothesis; the original issue provides no maintainer confirmation, patch, or fixed version. Although the issue is closed, it provides no verified fix.
Check whether the original reproduction conditions apply: Claude Max Retries is 6 and Codex is 0. Confirm that the Codex settings are saved, quit and restart CC Switch normally, then check whether the Codex value changes to 6. This step only confirms the symptom.
Follow source issue #7204 for updates. The available material contains no verified fix. Neither closing the issue nor using identical settings for both applications establishes that the problem is fixed.
