Hermes does not take effect; configuration must be copied manually
Quick fix
On Windows, upgrade to v3.16.5 or later. This version makes CC Switch write to the configuration directory actually read by Hermes.
Symptom
Section titled “Symptom”导致在ccswitch保存后hermes不生效,需要手动再复制配置文件内容After saving in ccswitch, Hermes does not take effect, and the configuration file contents must be copied manually again.
On Windows, CC Switch previously always wrote the Hermes configuration directory to `~/.hermes`, while Hermes first reads `HERMES_HOME`, or `%LOCALAPPDATA%\hermes` otherwise. As a result, Hermes did not read the configuration written by CC Switch, so provider switching did not take effect.
The maintainer stated that this was fixed in v3.16.5: the configuration directory resolution order now matches Hermes. #3168 reported that the configuration was not recognized after switching and mentioned using `~/herms/.env`; the original post did not provide a verifiable fix, and its path description differs from the Windows path issue in #3406.
Upgrade CC Switch to v3.16.5 or later, then switch again and verify that the Hermes configuration takes effect.
If the issue still occurs after upgrading, add reproduction details in the relevant source issue; the original post for #3168 does not yet provide a verifiable fix.
