All models are mapped to the reasoning model (Thinking) value, and when the model is Opus, "reasoning": { "effort": "xhigh" } is injected by default; when the reasoning model has no value, Opus defaults to injecting medium.

Cause

The proxy-mode model mapping logic previously lacked priority handling: when the Thinking model had a value, all models were mapped to that value.

The maintainer rewrote the mapping logic in v3.13.0: `reasoning_model` is used only when `has_thinking=true`; mappings are matched by haiku, opus, and sonnet type; if nothing matches, `default_model` is used; if that also misses, the original model name is kept. The Adaptive Thinking Reasoning Effort mapping for Opus was fixed at the same time.

   Upgrade CC Switch to v3.13.0 or later.

   After upgrading, re-verify model switching in proxy mode; if the issue still reproduces, reopen the original issue with additional information as suggested by the maintainer.
