Settings reset to CC Switch values in Claude Desktop
Quick fix
Most related issues remain unresolved. Upgrade to the current main build containing 81df5a08 or a later release, then retry switching providers.
Symptom
Section titled “Symptom”After switching to the subscription and back to a third-party provider, the setting is reset to the value from CC Switch's own config, so I have to redo it in Desktop after every switch. In CC Switch 3.20.4, switching back to a third-party provider fully overwrites the configuration profile; switching back to the official subscription also deletes that profile. Settings written to the profile through the Claude Desktop UI are therefore lost and restored to the values in CC Switch's own configuration.
81df5a08 in the main branch changes this to clean up and write only five managed keys, and retains the profile when switching back to the official subscription. The maintainer said the round-trip scenario of “write settings in Desktop UI, switch to subscription, then back to a third-party provider” was verified to preserve settings byte-for-byte. The release timing remains undetermined.
Upgrade to the current main build containing 81df5a08 or the next release.
Follow the original process: switch to the official subscription, then back to the same third-party provider, and confirm that settings saved through the Claude Desktop UI remain.
If settings still reset in the latest version, provide the profile JSON for further troubleshooting.
