Window icon displays the generic “wayland” placeholder icon (orange W) — CC Switch
Quick fix
On KDE Wayland, name the installed desktop file cc-switch.desktop so it matches the window app id.
Symptom
Section titled “Symptom”KWin 提供的窗口图标位置显示通用 “wayland” 占位图标(Breeze 主题里的 `/usr/share/icons/breeze-dark/apps/48/wayland.svg`,橙底白 W)。The window icon location provided by KWin shows the generic “wayland” placeholder icon (`/usr/share/icons/breeze-dark/apps/48/wayland.svg` in the Breeze theme, an orange background with a white W).
In a KDE Plasma Wayland session, KWin looks up a same-named `<app_id>.desktop` file using the window app id. The reported window app id is `cc-switch`, so KWin looks for `cc-switch.desktop`; however, the deb and rpm packages install `CC Switch.desktop`. Because the names do not match, KWin falls back to the `wayland` placeholder icon.
The taskbar icon may still work because Plasma Task Manager can also match the window through `StartupWMClass=cc-switch` in the desktop file. This does not fix KWin icon lookup in the window overview, Alt-Tab, and window highlighting.
Rename the desktop file in the deb or rpm package to `cc-switch.desktop`, exactly matching the window app id `cc-switch`. Keep `Name=CC Switch` as the user-facing application name.
After reinstalling the modified package, check the window overview, Alt-Tab, and taskbar window highlighting in a KDE Plasma Wayland session to confirm that the CC Switch icon is shown.
