There Should Not Be Such a Huge Number of unknown Model Requests — Codex
Quick fix
Retest on CC Switch 4.0.13. If many unknown requests remain, reopen the issue with the version, system, reproduction steps, and logs.
Symptom
Section titled “Symptom”不应该有如此巨量的unknown模型用量There should not be such a huge number of unknown model requests.
After running a long Codex task in WSL + VS Code extension on Windows, the user found more than 500 unknown model requests within one minute, nearly ten times the number of gpt5.5 requests. The report used CC Switch 3.15.0 and changed the default Codex directory to `~/.codex` in WSL. The user also mentioned briefly enabling the memory feature, but the available information is insufficient to confirm whether these factors caused the abnormal statistics.
The issue was closed under the inactivity policy after no further updates. No root cause was confirmed, and no verified fix was provided. The maintainer only stated that CC Switch 4.0 included several refactors and fixes and recommended retesting on 4.0.13, so this does not establish that the upgrade resolved the problem.
Upgrade CC Switch to the maintainer-recommended 4.0.13, rerun the same long Codex task, and check whether usage statistics still show many unknown model requests.
If the problem persists, collect the current CC Switch version, operating system, reproduction steps, and relevant logs, then reopen the issue for further investigation by the maintainer.
