Proxy Mode Model Mapping Has No Effect - Claude Code

Quick fix

Retry after upgrading to cc-switch 4.0. The maintainer says the refactor fixed the old model-mapping issue, but this thread has no user verification.

After enabling proxy mode, model mapping has no effect at all, and no warning appears. Even invalid configuration does not produce an error.

Cause

In proxy mode on cc-switch v3.13.0, after the user configured model mapping for Claude Code, actual requests still used the default model. Arbitrary mapping changes also had no effect on requests. The maintainer said the 4.0 refactor fixed several old issues, including model mapping.

The issue was closed after more than 60 days of inactivity, not because a fix was reproduced and confirmed in the thread. The maintainer recommended upgrading and retrying. If it still does not work, provide the version, protocol type, and reproduction steps, then reopen the issue.

Fix

  1. Upgrade cc-switch to 4.0, then retest Claude Code model mapping in proxy mode.

  2. If mapping still does not work after upgrading, record the cc-switch version, protocol type, and complete reproduction steps, then reopen the issue.
