missing field `call_id`: Codex delegated task DeepSeek 422
Quick fix
DeepSeek Responses rejected a Codex delegated task entry missing call_id; the issue did not confirm a user-side fix.
Symptom
Section titled “Symptom”cause: Failed to deserialize the JSON body into the target type:
input: missing field `call_id` at line 1 column 50580,
url: http://127.0.0.1:15721/v1/responsesWhen the Codex App delegates a new task through `create_thread`, it appends a `function_call_output` entry to the `input` of the first request. That entry lacks `call_id`, and there is no corresponding `function_call` before it; DeepSeek `/v1/responses` therefore returns HTTP 422. The issue reports that subsequent requests in the same thread also fail.
The maintainer replied that the cause is on the client or provider side, and CC Switch cannot fix it at its root. The reporter suggested discarding the orphaned entry or supplying the matching call, but the issue did not confirm that either approach was implemented or is a user-side fix.
Confirm whether the request comes from a Codex App `create_thread` delegated task and whether the upstream provider is DeepSeek Responses; manually created tasks worked in the report, while the first request for a newly delegated task triggered the issue.
The issue provides no verified configuration change or user-side workaround. Following the maintainer's reply, upgrade to version 4.0 and retest; if the problem persists, provide the version and reproduction steps when reopening the issue.
