Quick fix

Delete the existing configuration, then re-add and fully configure the provider in cc-switch to generate a new configuration.

The API still connects to OpenAI.

Cause

Section titled “Cause”

The existing `config.toml` in the report contained only `[api]` and `base_url`. After cc-switch recognized the default provider in that configuration, switching models and saving generated a configuration with missing fields, so the Codex extension in VS Code still connected to OpenAI.

Fix

Section titled “Fix”

  1. Delete the existing configuration file and remove the recognized provider in cc-switch.

  2. Add the provider again and complete all required fields so cc-switch generates a new configuration. The reporter confirmed that the completely newly generated configuration worked.
