Vendor name displayed as model name, Grok build
Quick fix
Configure multiple independent models as shown in the issue example, and set the default model and reasoning level in [models].
Symptom
Section titled “Symptom”When configuring a third-party vendor name, that name appears under `model`, and the model name displayed in the `grok build` output is also the vendor name. The reporter noted that after configuring a third-party vendor name, it appears under `model` and is displayed as the model name in `grok build` output. They suggested not setting the `name` field in each model configuration, using the model ID as the configuration key, and setting the corresponding model name in `model`. The issue is still open, and maintainers have not confirmed this cause or configuration approach.
Refer to the TOML example in the issue: specify `default` and `default_reasoning_effort` in `[models]`, and configure each model in `[model.'模型 ID']`. The example includes `grok-4.5` and `grok-composer-2.5-fast`; this is the reporter's suggestion, and no confirmed fix has been reported.
