Windows Explorer opens to the "Documents" folder: Claude Code

Quick fix

On Windows, Open Terminal opens Documents instead of a terminal. A suspected cause and suggested fix exist, but no solution has been verified.

Error output
Windows Explorer opens to the "Documents" folder instead of launching a terminal.

Issue #3147 reports that in CC Switch 3.15.0 on Windows, clicking Open Terminal opens the Documents folder whether cmd, PowerShell, or Windows Terminal is selected. The reporter suggests that the `run_windows_start_command`-generated `start` command lacks a window title, which may cause Windows to parse its arguments incorrectly. This is only a proposed fix: the issue remains open, with no maintainer confirmation or successful user verification.

Issue #2575 is a feature request, not a confirmed fix for the same problem. It requests configurable launch-command templates for Zellij, Tmux, Claude Code commands with arguments, or wrapper commands. It also remains open and cannot be treated as a solution for #3147.

  1. The original post does not provide a verifiable solution. Follow #3147 for the proposed Windows `start` command window-title fix and future maintainer replies; for custom terminal sessions or launch commands, follow feature request #2575.
