Missing required parameter: 'input[146].name'. Codex
Quick fix
Upgrade cc-switch to v3.16.4 or later to fix missing function names in Codex native tool calls when routing is enabled.
Symptom
Section titled “Symptom”{"error":{"message":"CC Switch local proxy failed while handling Codex endpoint /responses. Provider: ********** model: gpt-5.5; upstream_status: HTTP 400; cause: Missing required parameter: 'input[146].name'.","type":"invalid_request_error","code":"cc_switch_upstream_error","param":null,"provider":"*********","model":"gpt-5.5","endpoint":"/responses","upstream_status":400}}When Codex uses a third-party API with routing enabled, native tool calls may have field mismatches, causing the upstream service to reject requests missing `input[...].name`. The report also mentioned slow model responses and repeatedly running unfinished tasks.
The maintainer confirmed this was fixed in v3.16.4: streamed tool calls without a function name no longer produce invalid `tool_call`, and subsequent Codex requests through Chat routing restore cached tool-call `name`, `arguments`, and `status` fields from history.
After upgrading cc-switch to v3.16.4 or later, retry the Codex native tool call with routing enabled.
If the error still occurs after upgrading, add the specific provider and error details to the original issue, or reopen it.
