CC Switch Windows opens to a black screen and crashes after a few seconds

After using version 3.6 on windows, I deleted it directly, downloaded version 3.8, and it opens to a black screen before crashing after a few seconds.

Cause

The maintainer confirmed that the new "titleBarStyle": "Overlay" setting in 3.8 is incompatible with WebView2 on Windows, causing a black screen followed by a crash. The maintainer said it was fixed by not enabling this setting on Windows and would be included in a later release.

The original report said both the installer and portable 3.8.x builds could not open. The reporter said the 3.7.x installer worked after re-downloading it. This is a user-reported workaround, not confirmation that the issue was resolved in a released version.
