Codex CLI startup error: Codex cross-platform sync of Windows MCP paths
Quick fix
Update CC Switch to the latest version and retest. If the error persists, add logs and resubmit; the original issue did not confirm a fix.
Symptom
Section titled “Symptom”启动codex cli时会报错。An error occurs when starting codex cli.
CC Switch 3.16.4 syncs all Codex `config.toml` settings to webwav. The `[mcp_servers.node_repl]` section contains a Windows path. When Ubuntu downloads the same configuration, it also receives that Windows path, causing an error when Codex CLI starts.
The issue was closed because it exceeded the handling time limit and no new reproduction details were provided, not because the reporter verified a fix. The maintainer said that 4.0 substantially refactored the related functionality and recommended updating to the latest version and retrying. The existing record does not state whether the refactor resolved the issue.
Update CC Switch from 3.16.4 to the latest version.
Sync again, start Codex CLI on Ubuntu, and check whether the issue still occurs.
If the issue persists, reopen or submit an issue with the CC Switch version, operating system, complete reproduction steps, and relevant logs or screenshots.

- Can the shared settings be configured in `config.toml`, with MCP and SKILL configurations included from separate OS-specific files?
- The issue proposed this approach, but the existing discussion does not confirm that CC Switch supports splitting and including MCP and SKILL configurations by OS.
