Requests keep failing after configuring a relay — Claude Code

Quick fix

Enable routing from the top bar, then apply it to Claude. “Enable full URL” does not enable routing. The reporter confirmed this fixed the issue.

Requests keep failing after configuring a relay

Cause

The reporter mistook “Enable full URL” for enabling routing, leaving routing incorrectly enabled. They reported being able to fetch models but unable to connect, being unable to fetch models after connecting, and models not being found. They said only deepseek worked. The reporter ultimately confirmed that opening routing from the top bar, enabling it, and then applying it to Claude resolved the issue.

A commenter suggested that the grok channel might provide an openai chat completions interface while the configuration selected an openai response interface, and recommended changing the mode. This was only a troubleshooting suggestion and was not confirmed to work. The reporter ultimately confirmed that routing had been enabled incorrectly. The title also mentioned that downgrading Claude did not resolve the issue.

Fix

  1. Click “Routing” in the top bar to open routing settings. Do not mistake “Enable full URL” for enabling routing.

  2. Enable routing, then apply it to Claude. The reporter confirmed that these steps resolved the issue.
