Crash on Launch: CC Switch Windows Startup Crash

It used to work normally, but recently it started crashing.

Cause

In #845, a user reported a crash on launch on Windows 11 25H2, but the debug log showed “Normal startup mode: main window displayed” and did not identify a clear cause. The maintainer said that 4.0 rewrote the interface and startup flow and recommended retesting on the latest version. If the issue still occurs, provide the CC Switch version, Windows version, WebView2 runtime version, the latest logs under ~/.cc-switch/logs, and the application error details from Windows Event Viewer.

#6215 describes a different issue: after an upgrade, importing skills and creating symbolic links failed, and data was lost after deletion. It is unrelated to the startup crash.

Fix

  1. Check again whether the crash still occurs on the latest version of CC Switch; the maintainer said that 4.0 rewrote the interface and startup flow.

  2. If it still occurs, report the CC Switch version, Windows version, and WebView2 runtime version, and attach the latest logs under ~/.cc-switch/logs and the corresponding application error details from Windows Event Viewer.
