config.toml and auth.json not switching together — Codex
Quick fix
Upgrade to CC Switch v3.16.1 or later; reports indicate the v3.16.1 pre-release resolved this issue.
Symptom
Section titled “Symptom”config.toml 和 auth.json 未同步切换config.toml and auth.json do not switch together
In CC Switch v3.16.0, after configuring multiple providers with local routing enabled and switching providers, Codex's config.toml and auth.json still retained the previous third-party API content. After starting Codex CLI, the original GPT model was still shown. Users reported this on both Windows and Mac.
The original post did not explain the implementation cause. Users reported that v3.16.1 pre-release resolved it, and the maintainer said related issues were fixed or implemented in the v3.16.0 / v3.16.1 changes. If it still reproduces after upgrading, the maintainer requested the version, system, app version, reproduction steps, and logs or screenshots.
Upgrade CC Switch to v3.16.1 or later.
Switch providers with local routing enabled again, then check whether Codex's config.toml and auth.json switch with the provider.
If it still reproduces consistently after upgrading, provide the CC Switch version, operating system, related app version, reproduction steps, and logs or screenshots in the source issue.
