experimental_bearer_token = "PROXY_MANAGED" - Codex
Quick fix
Upgrade to CC-Switch v3.16.2 or later. If it persists, sign in to Codex OAuth again and reopen the report as requested.
Symptom
Section titled “Symptom”experimental_bearer_token = "PROXY_MANAGED"On the reported macOS environment, CC-Switch setting `experimental_bearer_token = "PROXY_MANAGED"` overrides a valid OAuth session, causing Codex to switch from OpenAI OAuth login back to API key mode after restart. The original report also said that after switching back from a third-party provider or local route to `OpenAI Official`, the old OAuth credential state could be restored, preventing normal responses from the official provider.
The maintainer said this issue “should have been fixed/implemented in v3.16.1” and recommended upgrading to v3.16.2 or later before verifying. This is the maintainer's resolution statement; the original post did not provide independent confirmation after upgrading.
Upgrade CC-Switch to v3.16.2 or later, then verify by reproducing the switch back to `OpenAI Official`.
If the current OAuth session has expired, run `codex logout`, then `codex login --device-auth`, and restart Codex or the application embedding Codex.
If it still reproduces after upgrading, reopen the issue as requested by the maintainer and include the version, configuration, and reproduction steps.
