Quick fix

Upgrade the device responsible for downloading or restoring to v3.20.4 and try again; the skills.zip entry limit is now 30,000.

Cause

Section titled “Cause”

When restoring backup data, CC Switch previously limited file entries in skills.zip to no more than 10,000. Backup did not check the entry count, so skills containing many files could fail during restoration. The reported 14,359 entries exceeded the old limit.

The maintainer raised the restoration entry limit to 30,000, matching the skill installation side. The total extracted size remains limited to 512 MiB. This fix was released in v3.20.4.

Fix

  1. Upgrade CC Switch to v3.20.4 on the device responsible for downloading or restoring cloud sync data.

  2. After upgrading, run cloud sync restoration again; the reported 14359 entries are within the new limit.
