ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL locked to localhost:5000 Claude Code

Quick fix

After updating cc-switch to v3.12.3, the maintainer said this issue was fixed in v3.9.1.

Symptom

On Windows, it seems to be stuck, where it is putting http://localhost:5000 for the ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL, and I am unable to get it to change.

Cause

After enabling and then disabling the proxy option on Windows, the reporter found that `ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL` was still set to `http://localhost:5000`. Restarting the computer and reopening cc-switch did not change it.

The maintainer said this was fixed in v3.9.1: the default proxy port changed from `5000` to `15721` because port `5000` conflicted with the macOS AirPlay service. The maintainer suggested updating to v3.12.3 to verify. The original post did not include follow-up verification from the Windows reporter.

Fix

  1. Update cc-switch to the maintainer-recommended v3.12.3, then confirm that `ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL` is no longer locked to `http://localhost:5000`.

  2. If the issue persists after updating, reopen the original issue as the maintainer suggested and add reproduction details.
