Model list error: Codex model list does not match the provider

With cc-switch closed, switching to native codex shows model choices from openrounter in the model list. With cc-switch enabled, the model list shows the native codex list and gpt model choices.

Cause

The maintainer said that the old configuration restoration logic used when exiting CC Switch may leave the model list showing OpenRouter models after exit. Version 4.0 rewrote Codex configuration writing: when switching providers, it replaces only key fields such as the endpoint, credentials, and model; on exit, it writes the configuration again based on the current settings and handles the model catalog pointer separately. The issue has not confirmed whether upgrading resolves the problem.

Fix

  1. Upgrade to the latest version and retest.

  2. If the issue persists, specify whether you use Codex CLI or the desktop app, provide the Codex version, and share ~/.codex/config.toml from both states.
