Installed Count Mismatch, Missing Skill Directories, Claude Code Skills

Quick fix

On the Skills page, check whether the directories for installed entries still exist; remove stale records or rescan the directories before syncing.

Error output
Skills page shows **已安装 14**; `~/.agents/skills/` holds **10** directories.
English translation

Skills page shows **Installed: 14**; `~/.agents/skills/` holds **10** directories.

The installed count in the Skills panel depends on enabled flags in the database; it does not routinely check whether the SSOT directories still exist. After a directory is deleted, its database row remains, so the skill continues to appear as installed and enabled. Check for updates skips local Skills; for repository skills, a missing directory may also be treated as no reportable update. Sync now projects data from the database to the application directory; if it fails, it does not clear the database row.

The issue also involves copies becoming out of sync between the SSOT directory and the application skills directory, and the lack of a reverse check at startup. The issue is still open. It proposes a read-only audit report and repair options for user review; no fix is confirmed as implemented or verified.

  1. On the Skills page, check each database record to see whether its corresponding SSOT directory exists; missing entries currently need to be uninstalled through the application UI, or you must wait for or use rescan functionality whose implementation is not yet confirmed.

  2. Do not rely solely on “All skills are up to date” to determine whether local skill directories are complete; this check skips local Skills, and missing repository skill directories may also go unreported.

Why does checking for updates say all skills are up to date when a directory has been deleted?
Check for updates skips local Skills; when a repository skill's SSOT directory is missing, it may also be treated as having no updates. Therefore, this message cannot detect these missing directories.
Will Sync now automatically delete the records for missing directories?
No. Sync now projects data from the database to the application directory. Failed skills are reported, but their database records remain.
Can it generate a read-only audit report and let me approve cleanup first?
The issue proposes showing drift between the database, SSOT, and application directories on the Skills page, with review options. The issue is still open, and this feature is not confirmed as implemented.
