Claude Desktop model selector cannot display the model list
Quick fix
The Claude Desktop model list is controlled by the client. cc-switch local routing cannot make the developer-mode dropdown display models.
Symptom
Section titled “Symptom”最后效果就是模型选择栏无法正常显示模型列表,由于使用第三方api,程序限制了不显示chat组件,因此目前影响的是cowork和code组件。目前未知为什么会这样The final result is that the model selector cannot display the model list properly. Because a third-party api is used, the program restricts the chat component from being displayed, so cowork and code components are currently affected. It is currently unknown why this happens.
In cc-switch 3.14.1 on Windows, after setting the Claude Desktop developer-mode API endpoint to `http://127.0.0.1:15721`, the model selector did not show available models.
The maintainer explained that this is not a cc-switch bug: cc-switch local routing can handle sent API requests and map models, but cannot modify the Claude Desktop model-selection UI or its hard-coded validation logic. The original post did not provide a verifiable fix.
Confirm that this is a Claude Desktop developer-mode limitation affecting the model list and component display; cc-switch routing cannot modify the client UI.
