UI freeze in Sessions Management — Claude Code

Quick fix

Update CC Switch to v3.14.0, which uses session-list virtualization and collapses long messages by default.

Symptom

Error output
The UI hangs/freezes. Mouse clicks and keyboard inputs are not processed timely. The Main thread appears to be blocked by heavy DOM operations.

Cause

When many sessions are imported or created in Sessions Management, or when a session containing very long content or metadata is selected, heavy DOM operations can block the main thread. This prevents clicks and keyboard input from being processed promptly. The report involves Claude Code, macOS, and CC Switch v3.13.0.

The maintainer stated that this was addressed in v3.14.0: the Session list uses `@tanstack/react-virtual` virtualization, and long session messages are collapsed by default to reduce main-thread and DOM pressure from many records and long content. If freezing continues after updating, the original post requests the session count, system version, and reproducible screenshots or recordings.

Fix

  1. Update CC Switch to v3.14.0. This version addresses Session List Virtualization and collapses long session messages by default.

  2. If freezing still occurs with many session or very long content, provide the session count, system version, and reproducible screenshots or recordings as requested in the original post, then report it in the source issue.
