Unable to Change Models After Switching Relay When Quota Runs Out - Codex

Symptom
Section titled “Symptom”额度用完后,切换中转站api之后无法更换模型了After the quota ran out, I switched to the relay API but could no longer change models.
This issue occurs after the Codex quota is exhausted and switching to a relay API. The maintainer said version 4.0 rewrote Codex model catalog generation and switching writes. The `model_catalog_json` pointer in `config.toml` is now treated as a regular key field during provider switching; legacy pointers or pointers written by other tools no longer invalidate the generated model catalog. The issue has not confirmed whether this fix resolved the reporter’s problem.
Comments mention deleting `model_catalog_json = ""`, disabling takeover, or signing in with the relay API as workarounds. Another user said that this setting was not present in their configuration, so these methods may not apply in every case.
Install the latest version mentioned by the maintainer, then retest whether you can change models after the quota runs out and you switch to the relay API. Use the official Releases page to download.
If the issue still reproduces, provide the maintainer with the Codex version, the `~/.codex/config.toml` after switching (remove the Key), and the model selector error or a screenshot.
