The open issue reports that when CC Switch 3.20.3 applies the cn_official preset third-party provider, it forcibly writes `requires_openai_auth = true` in `[model_providers.custom]`, overriding the value in the provider template. The reporter believes this causes the Codex TUI to check ChatGPT official account quota; when the quota is exhausted, it locks the session even if the request was originally meant for a third-party provider. The Codex desktop App may also send the internal model identifier `gpt-reserve` to a third-party endpoint as the model after official quota is exhausted; strict validation endpoints may report that the model does not exist.

The reporter says `requires_openai_auth = false` together with `experimental_bearer_token` lets Codex use third-party keys from Kimi, 智谱, or DeepSeek without triggering official quota checks. The issue is still open, with no maintainer confirmation or verified official fix.

  1. In the Codex configuration, set `requires_openai_auth` to `false` for the third-party provider and confirm that `experimental_bearer_token` is used for authentication. The reporter says this combination works with Kimi, 智谱, and DeepSeek; the issue provides no configuration file path and does not report whether this change persists after CC Switch applies the provider.

What can I do if third-party providers also stop working after the official ChatGPT account quota is exhausted?
The issue reporter says setting the third-party provider's `requires_openai_auth` to `false` and providing the API key through `experimental_bearer_token` may avoid triggering the official quota check; the issue remains open.
