Symptom

Codex CLI **0.156.0** does **not** request `/v1/models`, so the model list is not refreshed.

Cause

Section titled “Cause”

The issue occurs only in Codex CLI 0.156.0: 0.155.1 requests `/v1/models` and loads the remote model list, but after upgrading, that request is no longer sent. Packet capture shows the difference occurs before the server responds; switching to a fresh `CODEX_HOME` did not change the behavior, while downgrading to 0.155.1 restored it.

The maintainer confirmed that the cause is on the client or provider side and cannot be fixed by CC Switch. `api_key_model_discovery` and `model_catalog_url`, mentioned in the issue, are only possible directions proposed by the reporter; the specific configuration combination required has not been confirmed.

Fix
