“About” page hangs: Linux cc-switch tool detection
Quick fix
Upgrade to cc-switch 4.0; the maintainer says it substantially changed configuration switching and the interface, and many related problems no longer occur.
Symptom
Section titled “Symptom”多个 shell 并发执行时发生 TTY process-group race,其中一个或多个 shell 收到 SIGTTIN,导致整个 foreground process group 被 stopped。When multiple shells run concurrently, a TTY process-group race occurs. One or more shells receive SIGTTIN, causing the entire foreground process group to stop.
The tool-version or environment detection path in cc-switch 3.20.1 may concurrently run multiple `bash -lic "<tool> --version"` commands. In a foreground TTY on Linux/WSL, interactive Bash enables job control and also manipulates the foreground process group of `/dev/tty`. The race may cause a shell to receive `SIGTTIN`, which stops the entire foreground process group. The maintainer grouped this issue under #5635 for tracking and said that cc-switch 4.0 substantially changed configuration switching and the interface, so many related problems no longer occur.
Upgrade to cc-switch 4.0. The maintainer recommends reporting the issue again with the version and reproduction steps if it persists after upgrading.
