model xxx not found: Codex API Key overwritten

Quick fix

Upgrade to a later version containing the #6534 fix to prevent other providers' keys from overwriting the current provider during editing.

Error output
model xxx not found

In cc-switch 3.19.2, `~/.codex/auth.json` is a single shared file without provider identity and stores only the most recently activated key. When “preserve official login” is enabled, each provider’s key is stored in `experimental_bearer_token` in `config.toml`, but the edit dialog loads the live configuration by reading `auth.json` first. On save, a key from another provider or the official login can be written back to the current provider.

When multiple providers share the same API request address, the key can repeatedly become the same one. If that key lacks access to the target model, the request shows `model xxx not found`. The maintainer stated that #6534 fixes this issue and that it will be released in a later version.

  1. Upgrade to a later cc-switch version that includes the #6534 fix. The maintainer stated that the fix prioritizes the provider’s `experimental_bearer_token` in `config.toml`, preventing key overwrites during editing and saving.
